Owl be your Valentine

I have a special fondness for handmade Valentines.  I always bought the boxed kind as a kid, but how neat are all the clever printables found on the internet nowadays?!  I'm jealous.  So last year (now that I had the excuse of having a kid of my own), I sent out the boy pirate Valentine's from Mer Mag.  I loved them.  I still love them.  But this year the Iron Craft challenge was something with hearts or flowers, so, of course, I had to make my own.  And, for my owl-y boy, some owl-y Valentines.

And the obligatory corny message inside

I used my Silhouette machine to cut out the (mostly) original owl design, then used some glue and red glitter for the heart.  Someday I will invest in the gorgeous Martha Stewart glitter, but for now, cheapo Walmart glitter is what I had on hand.  Have you made any cool Valentines this year?

  1. I usually do a homemade valentine for my husband but this year I found too perfect a store bought one that I couldn't resist.
